I have been privileged to work with older adults for many years and in many different ways…as a caregiver, in programming support, as business and office manager and in administration.  I have completed the Certified Assisted Living Director program through the Michigan Center for Assisted Living, as well as the Certified Dementia Practitioner program through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. It is my personal belief that those who care for older adults must also be well cared for themselves so they can give their very best each and every day!  I am honored to serve the residents of Fleischman Residence and together we will provide each resident with their best day possible!

I have been married for 25 years and have two children, a 22 year-old girl and a 20 year-old boy. My office is always open to the Residents and their families to come and talk.

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona and taught kindergarten for a few years thereafter. I then decided to continue my education in New York, where I obtained my master’s degree at Yeshiva University. From there, I relocated to Tampa, FL where I practiced social work for 20 years at a women’s hospital, and built my family. I now have two sons, Josh, 20, who is studying at Michigan State University, and Jake, 18, who is studying at the University of Arizona. I am very dedicated to my work, and our residents and am grateful to be part of such a supportive Jewish community.

I’ve been fortunate to be a part of the wonderful team at Jewish Senior Life since 2005.  My passion is working with older adults, particularly those with memory related disorders.  With a degree and certification in Therapeutic Recreation, I get to put that passion to use every day while engaged in fun, enriching and goal-oriented activities with the wonderful residents of the Brown Memory Care Pavilion.  When work feels like play and coworkers and those that you care for feel like family, you truly know that you’re in the right place!

I strive to provide the highest quality service and daily experience for our residents.  After spending nearly 15 years in the restaurant industry prior to joining Jewish Senior Life 2014, I feel my work ethic and knowledge of food quality and service has become a fresh and improved change to daily operations. I enjoy being a part of our residents’ life and their care.  Knowing that I can make even a small difference in their comfort by helping provide a quality meal and respect from our dining room staff fills me with pride and satisfaction.  We must always remember this is our residents’ home. I hold a BA in Hospitality Management from Michigan State University.
