BEQUESTS

A bequest is a planned distribution from your estate.  It is a simple and effective way to leave behind a legacy to benefit Jewish Senior Life and its residential communities. Your planning today will help provide a future for older adults.

If you are interested in adding a bequest to your will, please talk with your legal advisor, or consider the suggested language below:

“I give, devise and bequeath to the JSL Foundation (a 501(c)(3) supporting organization of Jewish Senior Life of Metropolitan Detroit – Tax ID #38-269 3397) the sum of $__________  or the following described property _______________ or ________% of my estate or the residue of my estate, for its general purposes.”

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES

Your generous gift through a Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) can benefit the older adults we serve, while providing you with a lifetime of regular, fixed income.  CGA’s may also provide you with significant tax benefits. Please consult your financial advisor or attorney.

LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES

There are many ways to utilize new or existing life insurance policies to benefit Jewish Senior Life. A Charitable Giving Rider can be attached to an existing policy to pay a qualified charity a percentage of the total policy, without any cost to the policy holder. A policy can also be Gifted to a qualified non- profit and can provide a current tax benefit and eliminate future premium obligations. A charity can also be named as a Beneficiary of your life insurance policy. There are many ways to ensure that Jewish Senior Life and the older adults it serves will benefit from such planning. Please consult with your legal advisor, financial planner and/or insurance advisor for more information.
