Auxiliary of Jewish Senior Life supports the mission of Jewish Senior Life of Metropolitan Detroit.
Auxiliary for Jewish Senior Life is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults in the Metropolitan Detroit Jewish community by providing financial support and resources for social, educational, spiritual and cultural programs.
Auxiliary for Jewish Senior Life is committed to promoting opportunities for leadership positions, networking and personal enrichment for its membership together with Jewish Senior Life of Metropolitan Detroit.
This effort benefits all residents of Jewish Senior Life, especially those who rarely leave the building because of physical and/or mental impairments.
Nosh Nook at Fleischman Residence and Cafe Shalom at Danto Family Health Care
Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Volunteers prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks to residents, their guests and staff.
Gift Shops at Fleischman Residence, Meer Apartments, and Danto Family Health Care are run and operated by Auxiliary volunteers with profits supporting resident programs and enhancements.
Welcome Wagon
New residents are welcomed with a gift and a visit from one of our volunteers.
Holiday Flowers
The Auxiliary provides floral arrangements to each residence on the major holidays either in the Synagogue or the dining room.
Special Projects
The Auxiliary funds Special Projects for Jewish Senior Life on request.
W.J. & Lillian Kemler Walk of Ages
Our major fund raiser, a community event, just celebrated 10 successful years with profits supporting special projects.
Tribute Cards
Tribute Cards are available for any occasion. Proceeds fund activities for the residents.
